About Najhay Quick

Najhay Quick was born in Rochester, New York and describes his work as a fusion of contemporary and abstract art. His aim as a visual artist is to spread ministry through his work, to paint human experiences and trials & errors, in which we all yet fail; Visually bringing them to light, in hope to invoke the viewer spiritually. Quick’s work has been featured in various places throughout Rochester such as the City Hall Gala and Memorial Art Gallery.

This is your second art exhibit with 540. What have you been up to since your last show?

NQ: Since my last show I’ve been pushing as hard as I can to make my dreams come to life , prior six months to from our last encounter I’ve chosen to make my art independent thanks to god I’ve accomplished so much. I was interviewed on the news as a professional artist and was featured at the Memorial Art Gallery twice.

Why makes this art exhibit different from your last?

NQ: This show will have a meaning since now my focus has changed and due to the events that have been taking place I have a lot more to say as an artist.

How have you grown as an artist?

NQ: I feel as though I’ve matured and now starting to use my gift for  inspirational and motivational purposes, knowing it’s power, taking it to the next level.

When you aren’t painting/drawing/photographing what are you doing?

NQ: I plan to make music soon (#VOF  ) but most of the time I’m usually in the gym; training in boxing. My goal is to feel like I’m eternally 18 years old.

What is it that inspires you to keep going as a professional artist?

NQ: My relationship With God which is the main  source. Also seeing the people react to what I depicted in a dream or a vision that was given. Being able to see my work affect others is truly astonishing.

What can the community expect from this exhibit?

NQ: This exhibit will be a representation of what self love looks like. Hopefully it inspires and encourages the viewers

Why should folks come out to this exhibit from you?

NQ: There are so many creatives here in the city and we just want to be heard  and seen. Please participate in making this happen. Also there is nothing better than to unite with the people in your community. There’s love in numbers and it makes a huge impact on the artist.

Is there anything else you’d like the readers to know?

NQ: Yes! I’m an independent artist  which means I need all the support I can get to live day by day.  Please support my brand, buy buy my merch , prints and clothing  at haloboybrand.bigcartel.com , follow my instagram @najhayquickart .. and if you just want to tip me for all my hard work.. here’s my cash app @najhayquick.. please and thank you god bless .
