Since 2016 540WMain has been committed to partnering and collaborating with high school and college students in its efforts to upbuild, enrich, and educate members of our community. There are number of internship positions for high school and college students.
Community Research Intern (revolving)
The Community Research Intern will contribute to the successful development and growth of current and future education and community programming within 540WMain Community Learning Academy. Intern will be responsible for the co-design, data collection and implementation of a comprehensive neighborhood survey to be disseminated to community partners, business owners, and families housed in the Susan B. Anthony preservation district.

Workforce Development College Preparatory Entrepreneur Summer Internship Program (16-20)
The 540WMain Workforce Development College Preparatory, Entrepreneur Summer Internship is designed for low income and/or at risk teen aged 16-20 years old. This program provides paid work and career experience, mentorship, and leadership training for emerging seniors and youth that are on track to receive their TASC (formerly GED) diploma. The program combines elements of career and personal brand development, social entrepreneur, college planning, and community service. Work sessions combine vocational styled training and college level instruction. Students learn effective communication, leadership, collaboration, and team building skills. The program runs for eight weeks each summer at 540WMain and locations within Rochester and Monroe County.
