The Rochester Afterschool Program is a low cost afterschool program located in 540WMain. The program has an intergenerational learning model for students of all abilities aged 6-13 who attend any Monroe County School or Homeschool. WHO CAN APPLY
Any student that meets the age requirement is able to apply. Students of all abilities are welcome.
WHAT IS THE APPLICATION/ENROLLMENT PROCESS?
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and students are admitted based on a interview with student and parent and based on opening. The program has a maximum capacity of 12 students.
WHAT ARE THE PROGRAM HOURS?
The program runs four days per week Tuesday- Friday 3:30 – 6:30 PM and follows the RCSD academic calendar. The program is CLOSED on MONDAY.
TRANSPORTATION
The program can work with your childs’ school to arrange drop off afterschool to the program. Transportation home is not provided at this time.
HOW MUCH DOES THE PROGRAM COST?
Upon acceptance all parents are enrolled in The Rochester Afterschool Program Community Cooperative (RASPCC). This association encourages community & civic engagement, volunteerism, and collaboration. Enrollment into the cooperative is mandatory for all parents who have scholars in the Afterschool program and costs $160 per month. This averages to about $10 per program day.
Community members that do not have school aged children are able to join the RASPCC for $50 per year. Members meet monthly over dinner, engage and have a decision making vote and share in creating many of the policies, procedures, and protocols that happen in the program.

CAN I VOLUNTEER?
Yes. Our program is supported by Community Volunteers and The Foster Grandparent Program of Community Place. All volunteers that work directly with scholars must undergo a criminal background check.
