We are pleased to open the nomination period for

Black Women Roc! 2020

Black Women Roc! our annual month long digital campaign where we highlight the achievements and work of four Black women and femme identifying women of color enacting change and making significant positive contributions to the Rochester community.

Black Women Roc! 2020

How the nomination process works:

  1. Community members are encouraged to nominate black women that makes our City a better place now through May 17, 2020
  2. Submit your nominee http://tiny.cc/blackwomenroc2020
  3. Share the campaign (www.540westmain.org/black-women-roc) in your networks so as many folks can submit nominations as possible
  4. Four women are selected at random from the pool of submissions
  5. Each week throughout the month of June each woman’s work and life is featured across 540WMain’s social media platforms and website including a series of LIVE virtual podcasts and events.

About Black Women Roc! 

Now in it’s 3rd year; Black Women Roc! is a digital media campaign that highlights the accomplishments of local black women who are change agents in the Rochester community.  540WMain features courses and workshops taught by women that are rooted in subjects that are important to women, femme identifying persons and other members of the African diaspora.
