What to Expect from 540WMain in 2020

Dear Community,

This year is already shaping up to be a banner year of growth for 540WMain. In just four years 540WMain has become a pillar in the Susan B. Anthony neighborhood and a convener and curator of important and vital community conversations, classes, and programs. Scaling Up in 2020 is the name of our year long campaign and I am so excited to share a snapshot of what you can expect from the organization as we lead up to our Anniversary Extravaganza on Saturday June 20, 2020

More grant writing: Last year 540WMain offically received 501c3 tax exempt status. This designation opens the doors for the organization to apply for larger streams of funding that is essential for long term growth and sustainability. More grants will be written and hopefully received in 2020.

Increased fundraising: You can expect to see a bevvy of fundraising events over the course of the year and we hope that you support as many as you can and share the efforts in your networks.

Hiring: Tying directly into our grant writing and fundraising our #1 goal as an organization this year is to hire our first full-time team members. Stay tuned for more information on these two vital positions; Fundraising & Events Manager and Grants Coordinator.

Community collaborations: Last year 540WMain collaborated and/or partnered with 20 community organizations. These collaborations will expand in 2020 and beyond.

Increased digital presence: We are upping the ante on our social media content and will be producing webinars and online classes.

Strategic planning/board development: Working with organizations like The Cause Collaborative, Causewave Community Partners and others to refine 540WMain’ mission, goals, and objectives.

This is just a preview of all of the behind the scenes work that I am directing as 540WMain grows and scales up in 2020 and beyond. Your financial support helps us scale up this work in 2020 and beyond with a year long fundraising goal of $40,000
