Darian’s Interview

Why did you decide to volunteer/work at 540WMain Communiversity?

DW: I attended an event at 540WMain and was so impressed and knew I
could contribute my skills to such a great communiversity.

Where did you grow up? 

DW: I grew up in Rochester, NY, and I have traveled to Atlanta, Chattanooga, Minneapolis, Milwaukee and Houston as a TV news anchor and reporter.
When you’re not volunteering/working at 540WMain what do you like to do? 
DW: I’m honored to take care of my father who is prayerful, athletic
and has a great personality.
How do you stay healthy? 
DW: Thank goodness for my treadmill. I was a tennis addict and will be one again in the spring.
 
What your favorite healthy food to eat? 
DW: I love salads, brussel sprouts and broccoli.
How do you express creativity in your life? 
DW: I love writing, dancing and producing.
 
What is it that inspires you to work with 540WMain? 
DW: It’s in my DNA, my family is always giving back to the community. It’s how I was raised.
What are you working on now? 
DW: A film project, TV project with two sports professionals and a TV project with my sister Karen Ward Wilder.
What do you like best about living in Rochester? 
DW: It’s such a great family town and people love to volunteer.
What do you like least about living in Rochester?
DW: It used to be the snow, but I’m getting used to it and so is my Shitzu Shoobie.
 
Is there anything else you’d  like the readers to know? 
DW: I talked to WHEC TV anchor Deanna Dewberry about moving to my hometown of Rochester from Dallas two years ago. She is such an inspiration and one of the strongest women I know.
