About Carly
CWL:I have been couponing for almost 20 years but started teaching class almost 10 years ago
Where did you get the inspiration for your business brand?
CWL: I can’t say it was a plan. I was asked by a friend who worked for a non-profit if I would teach a class and that started it.
What makes you want to teach/do your business?
CWL: I love saving money. I find it painful when I see people spending money in ways that don’t need to be.
For you, how does your business/brand relate to wellness?
CWL: I like to think of it as financial wellness.
How do you stay healthy?
CWL: I would like to be healthier; right now I am working to balance my life. To make decisions about what needs to be important then. Sometimes that means spending money so I don’t spend time
What do you feel is the most challenging aspect of your career?
CWL: Balance and time is a challenge. I juggle a lot of things and finding time for it all.
When you aren’t teaching classes what do you like to do?
CWL: Couponing for my friends and family. I love to be creative and read.
What is it that inspires you to keep going as an entrepreneur?
CWL: The bottom line…every time we are able to do a want and not a need because of money we saved. Also every time I fill my gas tank for free
What are you working on now?
CWL: Rewriting my couponing workbook
What’s has been your best experience thus far in your business?
CWL: There is a young lady who is my couponing daughter who is 17. Every time I see her save, my heart feels a thrill. I know that she is setting herself up for a good financial life.
What has been your biggest challenge as a company? Have you been able to overcome that challenge? If so, how?
CWL: Couponing constantly changes. I have learned to adapt and to change with it.
What advice do you have for others interested in pursuing their own business?
CWL: Saving is a passion and I was able to turn it into a business by figuring out a way to make my life work for me because of my disability.
Is there anything else you’d like the readers to know?
CWL:This is one of the best decisions I have made for my myself and my family.
