A Wednesday Word from The Director

Dear Community,

Happy Wednesday! Every week seems to fly by at lightening speed and sometimes it feels hard to keep up. Like most of you, I am busier than ever and anxiously awaiting for our weather to settle and give us copious amounts of sunshine and warm temperatures.

Here on the website and on our social media channels we continue to celebrate Black Women Roc! Stay tuned for an amazing interview with Melanie Funchess later in the week one of the campaign’s featured women. We’ve also released interviews featuring this month’s Community Educators. I am so thankful for all the amazing educators that teach our classes. The experiences and expertise that they bring to the academy are bar none I truly could not do my work without them.

Later today is our How to Start A Container Veggie Garden taught by  Rawson Duckett and tomorrow is a brand new course Beginners Hip Hop Cardio taught by Marcus Bowens.

I am super excited to finish editing and release the academy’s first ever Community Education Catalog. I don’t want to give too much away but I know you all will be thrilled to be able to view a season’s worth of course and programs all at once.
Thank you always for your support.
